Sunday Mornings Summer 2010
Starting June 6th, NexGen will be trying a new approach to Sunday mornings.
We believe that it is important for our Students to be involved with the life of the Church as a whole, and so; in place of the regular classes, we are encouraging all of our students to participate in Sunday morning Worship at one of our Services at 8am, 9:30am or 11am.
In addition, our new Summer Intern, Kyle Pendergrass, will be organizing and leading various opportunities for High School and Middle School students to be involved in the life of our Church.
Typically, Sunday morning activities will involve some combination of fellowship and fun, study, and worship between 9:30am and noon. Students can meet-up with Kyle upstairs at the Attic around 9:20am, before heading to Worship as a group.
Some of the exciting opportunites for participation on Sunday mornings will include:
-
Dramas and Skits
-
Creative projects (Worship-Related, Hospitality-Related, Service Projects, etc.)
-
Fellowship (Common seating area in Worship, events, etc.)
-
Involvement in other interesting classes available this Summer at St. Lukes
We are truly excited about the opportunity this summer to connect our Students with the Church as a whole. Keep posted for information about specific Sunday Mornings and check the calendar for upcoming events.
If any parents or other potential volunteers would like to help out in anyway, whether with ideas for activities or classes or anything at all, send an email to Kyle Pendergrass at kpendergrass@st.lukes.org
Let's have a Great Summer!
